• giving you special discounts just because your website or blog has the POTENTIAL for top ranking in Google, Yahoo, Bing or Ask search results

Along with avoiding these scammers (I usually mark them as Spam or Phishing Email immediately), you may want to avoid these following SEO traps even when working on your own.

• keeping comments (even if they are sensible) linked to fraudulent or black listed websites & domains
