Free Web Design Tools We Use for Creative Marketing Themes

Creative development need creative minds & creative design tools. The internet offers a variety of free (& paid) tools to help WordPress Theme developers create stunning designs.

Though most of our WordPress Marketing Themes are focused on functionality & usability, we use a lot of these free web tools in our initial design stages. This article is to help the new creative theme designers give an overview of all these creative tools available at their disposal.

1. Adopting a framework

A framework is a set of standards & guidelines that are adopted almost universally so that various components developed by individuals across the world can all be made to work together seamlessly without much programming.

We use the WordPress CMS framework for the most part. For the new designers, a free theme creation tool is available online. You need to set the overall layout & styling & this free tool will create all the essential templates for you.

2. Free Software Directory

This is a growing list of open source & proprietary free software promoted by the Free Software Foundation. They also support open source software development & GNU projects.

Some of the best tools used by creative designers & web developers are available from this directory. This includes FileZilla FTP, GIMP & other software.

3. Developer Toolkits

The Yahoo! Developer Toolkit is a comprehensive list of Creative Design Tools that can offer you a lot of insight into what is already available for you to re-use & build upon. Google also provides a lot of free tools for webmasters that are necessary for marketing websites, advertising & website visitor tracking.

We have used all or in parts most of these tools in our creative web design & development process. They reduce a lot of rework, saves time (& your client’s money) by re-using codes already developed & tested by others & creating a good stable web product.
